The most popular destinations for visitors to Iowa are the excellent cities of Des Moines and Cedar Rapids but enjoyable towns such as Iowa City and Dubuque are also worth the trip.

Des Moines - The capital of Iowa, Des Moines offers a great deal to see and do, with entertainment for all ages and tastes. There is a great number of interesting and enjoyable attractions in Des Moines, the Blank Park Zoo and Des Moines art center are particularly good.
Iowa City - Once the state capital of Iowa, Iowa City is now a lovely town which is home to the University of Iowa. It is a wonderful place to visit, with the Universities students helping to give it a youthful lively feel and enjoyable nightlife.
Cedar Rapids - Cedar Rapids is great place to visit, primarily because of the marvellous Czech Village and the excellent Museum of Art.
Dubuque - Situated in the east of Iowa by the Mississippi River, Dubuque is an interesting and enjoyable destination. Dubuque is attractive throughout and boasts some interesting cultural attractions of which the Mississippi River Museum is a good example. |
